Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common questions about ordering, delivery, organic practices, and getting the best performance from your soil.

Delivery & Orders

Do you deliver? What areas do you serve?

On bulk orders with special arrangements only. Contact us to discuss your location and order size.

Is there a minimum for bulk orders?

10 yards, plus the driver's delivery fee.

Can I pick up instead of delivery?

Of course! We are open 9am–5pm Monday through Saturday in Spring and Summer. Call to schedule from Late Summer until early March: 541-441-0510.

What payment methods do you accept?

Cash, Check, Cash App, and Credit Card. Cash is preferred.

What is your return/refund policy?

All sales are final. That said, we strive to make our customers happy — if there is an issue, let us know and we will attempt to accommodate reasonable and polite requests.

Are products available year-round?

We are only in the office for regular hours during planting season, but you are welcome to call year-round to make arrangements.

Products & Organic Practices

Are your products certified organic?

Yes!

How should I store soil or compost after I buy it?

Ideally out of the sun. A tarp over your planting container or raised beds works fine.

Do you make custom soil blends for specific crops or beds?

Yes, but generally only for bulk orders due to logistics, time, and cost constraints. If you want to pre-order individual amendments, that is generally something we can accommodate.

What is the pH of your soil mixes?

Contact us for current pH specs on specific blends — 541-441-0510.

Usage & Application

What's the difference between compost and fertilizer blends?

Check out our detailed whitepaper and extensive literature at our Soil Science Research page.

How much should I apply (beds, top-dressing, containers)?

Apply ¼ inch of compost on top of raised beds to introduce healthy bacteria and activate the latent nutrients. See our Ingredient Library for amendment-specific guidance.
